The Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Nidamarru, in Mangalagiri constituency, has been transformed into an International Model Government School under the initiative of Andhra Pradesh Education Minister and Mangalagiri MLA Nara Lokesh. The project, developed with an investment of approximately ₹15 crore, has significantly upgraded the school’s infrastructure and learning environment.
The campus now features modern classrooms, digital learning facilities, science and computer laboratories, a well-equipped library, smart classrooms, improved sanitation facilities, landscaped surroundings, and sports infrastructure. The transformation aims to provide government school students with facilities comparable to those available in leading private schools.
Following the redevelopment, the school has seen a sharp rise in admissions, with increasing demand from parents seeking quality education in a government institution. During a review meeting, Nara Lokesh cited the success of the Nidamarru school as a model for improving government schools across Andhra Pradesh and directed officials to replicate similar standards in other institutions.
